Apps Gone Free

apps gone freeApps Gone Free: Apple only

Apps Gone Free is a great way to discover apps from the App Store that have gone free for the day. To get the word out, apps will occasionally go on sale for a day or a week and this app lets you know about them. You’ll find five to ten apps of all different kinds highlighted per day.

You’ll discover new productivity apps, game apps, apps for education, health apps, etc. Some days you won’t find any apps you like, some days you’ll find multiple. You can also find apps that have been previously highlighted, but they may no longer be free. The app will let you know if the sale has expired.

Getting started

  1. Download and open the app.
  2. You will instantly be shown the apps that have gone free for the day. Just tap on an app’s name to read more about it and get a link to the App Store.

Here are some screenshots to get you started.

This is what you’ll typically see when you open the app, the apps that are free for the day (click to make it larger):

You can also select a different day from the left-hand side of the screen to see the apps shown on that day. Not all of those apps will still be free. An app may go free for a day, a week, or even a month, so you may discover some apps by looking at past days. If the sale of the app has expired, Apps Gone Free will let you know, as you can see in this screenshot (click to make it larger):
