Other browsers

Your apple devices come with Safari. Your Android devices come with Chrome. But you can download other browsers to use on your devices if you’re not a fan of Safair or Chrome. Or even if you are a fan of them, sometimes they crash. It’s always smart to have another browser on your device, just in case.

Here is a selection of some of the popular browsers for Apple and Android devices. We don’t have a lot of information about each browser, because if you know how to use one, you should be able to figure out how to use another.

Chrome is Google’s browser, and a lot of people remark on Chrome’s speed. Also, if you’re a Chrome user in your computer, sign in to sync your personalized Chrome experience from your computer, and bring it with you anywhere you go.

It’s frustrating not having Flash on the iPad, but Puffin Web Browser may help you with that. Puffin Free is the free version of the Puffin family and supports Adobe Flash over cloud during “off-peak hours” from 8AM to 4PM (subject to change without prior notice). If you don’t want to be subject to slowdowns, then pay for the full Puffin browser for $2.99.

A lot of people like the simplistic look of Dolphin. Dolphin also integrates with social media, so you can do your tabbed browsing and share any web content instantly to your favorite social networks.

opera miniOpera Mini

Opera always used to be called the coder’s browser, both because it was easy to code, but it was also fast. Opera still claims to be fast because their servers compress data by up to 90% before downloading, so page loads are lightning fast.

coastCoast

Coast is the newest browser out there, created by the same people who bring us Opera. Coast is described as having: a fast and original take on the web; fun and intuitive touch-based navigation; slick interface animations; and stable and secure browsing.

Next claims that more than 4,000,000 users have started experiencing this mini, simple, beautiful, easy-to-use and fastest web browser. They claim their browser is faster, but that it’s also more private and secure.
