BitDroid for Bitly

bitdroidBitDroid: Android only

There is no official Bitly app for Android, but if you have a Bitly account, this third-party app BitDroid for Bitlly works with your Bitly account. Connect to your Bitly account to save, shorten, and view bitmarks. You don’t need an account to shorten a URL Bitly account using BitDroid for Bitly.

BitDroid for Bitly lets you access your bitmarks, but you can’t manage or track them. This is a handy app to find your saved bitmarks on any Internet-connected device or to shorten a URL to share.

Getting started

  1. Download the BitDroid app.
  2. It immediately opens. No account is necessary to shorten URLs.

Here are some screenshots to get you started

If you want to access all your Bitly bitmarks on your Android device, you need to allow BitDroid access to your Bitly account. Once connected, all the bitmarks you add via the BitDroid app will show in your Bitly list of bitmarks.

To do this, just tap the wrench icon, check the box to connect to Bitly, and authorize BitDroid. Here is a screenshot showing this (click to make it larger):

You can now see all your bitmarks. Tap the clock icon to see bitmark history and to refresh after adding bitmarks, as is shown here (click to make it larger):
